How therapy helps & my approach

Two young women are sitting on a couch, a therapist and her patient. They facing each other, making eye contact and engaged in conversation. The woman on the right is the patient and she has dark, curly hair and is wearing a beige cardigan over a white shirt and a black choker necklace. She is smiling and looking at the therapist woman. The woman on the left is the therapist and she has dark dreadlocks and is wearing glasses and a light blue jacket. Her back is mostly to the camera, and her face is not visible. The background is a living room with a large window, plants, and a framed picture on the wall. The lighting is soft and natural, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

How I work

I approach therapy as a collaborative exploration of your inner world. Together, we develop a therapeutic relationship that offers space to notice underlying patterns, deepen self‑understanding, and reflect on the experiences that have shaped your emotional life. Through this process, new ways of relating to yourself and others can begin to take shape, opening up the possibility for meaningful and lasting change.

An integrative approach

I work in an integrative way, drawing on a range of psychotherapeutic theories including humanistic, existential, psychodynamic, and cognitive behavioural approaches. This allows me to create a consistent and holistic framework tailored to your unique needs.

Anti-oppressive practice

In our sessions, my aim is for you to feel deeply respected and understood in the fullness of who you are. Working from an anti‑oppressive lens, I pay particular attention to how aspects of identity such as gender, culture, ethnicity, sexuality, and neurodiversity shape our experiences.

Rather than positioning myself as the one who decides what’s ‘right,’ we explore together, making space for your own meanings, insights, and direction to emerge.

I hold a particular awareness of how gender, culture, ethnicity, sexuality, and neurodiversity influence our lived experience. I hold each person’s background and experience with care, creating a therapeutic space where you are met with curiosity, dignity, and genuine respect.

All paths lead to the same goal: to convey to others what we are.

Exploring together
Exploring together
Exploring together

Together, we’ll trace the threads of your story, attending to early relationships and the unconscious patterns that continue to shape your thoughts, feelings, and ways of being in the present.

We’ll also explore the longings, hopes, and inner resources that give your life meaning. My role as a therapist is to accompany you in this exploration offering thoughtful reflection and gentle challenge, so that deeper self‑understanding can emerge and create the conditions for transformation.
